ANIMABASAURI5-ANIMABASQUE poster
As you know ANIMABASAURI5-ANIMABASQUE Basauri-Bizkaia International Animated Film Festival’s 5th edition will be held from March 20th to 27th.
Tomorrow, Thursday March 12th, there will be a press conference in order to present the Festival as well as the program and this year’s guests.
Some Festival and Institutions representatives will be there presenting it:
Loly de Juan (Mayoress of Basauri)
Jon Iñaki Zarraga (Director of Culture of the County Council of Bizkaia)
Soraya Morla (Culture city councillor of Basauri)
Alberto Rodríguez (BBK’s external relations)
Mª Jesús Díez (Director of the Festival)
During the press conference, the official Festival spot will be screened and all the information and data related to the Festival will be given.

The deadline for the three main competitive sections (feature films and short films in 35 mm and short films in DVD) has been extended until December 31st. So you all still have one week to send us your latest works (we will take into account the date in the stamp, not the reception date).

For second consecutive year ANIMABASAURI-ANIMABASQUE International Animated Film Festival convenes the poster contest to choose the winning one that will announced its fifth edition (which will be held from the 20th to the 27th of March, 2009).
ANIMABASAURI4.0-ANIMABASQUE Poster
The contest is open to all animation and design lovers in the Basque Autonomous Community, both amateur and professional, and the deadline for submitting the works will run until January 15th, 2009.
The poster must be original and related to the world of animation while the technique and color used will be free.
The author of the winning poster will be rewarded with a cash prize of 600 Euros, donated by Basauri City Council, 10 animated feature films and 10 cinema tickets from Barton Films. The prize will be given at the closing ceremony and the winner will be chosen by a jury composed of members of the Organization of the Festival and representatives of Basauri City Council’s Culture Department.
